Writing to the radio with a SD card


If it is the first time the micro SD card has been used then format it using the radio as detailed on pages 32 and 33 of the radio's Operating Manual.

Insert the micro SD card into a SD card adapter and plug it into your PC. 

Depending on your PC settings an AutoPlay dialog may be shown:




Take note of the Removable Disk drive letter that has been given to the card, then close the AutoPlay dialog.

Run FTB100D. If this is the first time of running then you will get a screen with a plain border and empty grid. Otherwise the border will be orange and contain the last file you save from disk.




To write a previously saved .100d file to the radio click the Read Disk File button. A standard Windows open dialog box should be shown. Choose a file that you wish to subsequently write to the micro SD card. 




After opening the file the memories are displayed. 




Click the Write SD card button. The program will show a Save As dialog. In the left hand pane locate and click on the removable disk that contains the micro SD card. 




In the right hand pane double-click the folder FTM100D. This then shows the folders BACKUP, GPSLOG and PHOTO:




Double-click on the folder BACKUP. This then shows the folders CLONE, MEMORY and SETUP:




In the right hand pane double-click the folder CLONE. If this is the first time the micro SD card has been used the folder will be empty, otherwise it will contain the file CLNFTM100D.dat:




Click the Save button and then respond Yes to the Confirm Save As message if it is shown. The Save As dialog is then closed.

Remove the SD card adapter from your PC.

Insert the micro SD card into the radio as detailed on page 32 of the radio's Operating Manual. 

Power on the radio and then follow the instructions on page 105 of the radio's Operating Manual Copying data from the micro-SD card. Choose ALL in step 7
