COM port Detector Displays a screen to detect which port your programming cable is connected to.

COM Port Allows you to select COM1 to COM16

Read delay Allows you to select a delay between reads from the rig of 25, 35 or 45 msecs. Default is 35 msec.

Use alternative read method   If ticked will use an alternative (and faster) approach to reading the radio which can also overcome occasional timing problems with some USB serial ports and add-on serial cards. This option is enabled by default but can be un-ticked if desired.

Log read/write to rig   If ticked will produce a log of reads/writes to the rig in a message window. Only use if trying to diagnose problems with reading/writing to the rig. Do not scroll/move/resize the message window while reading/writing else you will probably induce a timeout or lose data.

Enable Autosize of  column widths   If ticked will reduce column widths to try and keep all items on the screen

Enable User chosen column widths   If ticked will activate the user chosen memories column widths. Changing the width of a column is done by placing the mouse over a vertical dividing line between two columns in the headings row and looking for the cursor to change to a pair of arrows pointing east-west, then left-clicking and dragging to resize the column. See the Save size and position command below to save your chosen column widths.

Show Memory rows in alternate shades   If ticked will display alternate rows in different shades.

Show darker grid lines   When ticked will show darker grid lines.

  Font size of grids

     Larger 11 point
     Largest 12 point

Show a taller grid height Increase the row height of the grids. This will be helpful when using touch screens.

Define Bank column names   Displays a list of banks enabling you to define your own names for the columns. These are only shown in the program because the radio does not have this capability.

Define Repeater rules...   Displays the Repeater Rules window to enable user-customised rules for automatic setting of repeater shift direction and amount. If repeater rules are active then a tick appears to the left of the command.

Select which memory columns to show...  Displays a list of columns enabling you to select which ones are shown.  There is also a checkbox to show memory grid rows in alternate shades.

Select print options...  Displays a list of columns enabling you to select which ones are printed, whether to print landscape or portrait, whether to print duplex (if your printer supports it), and to select from various top margin sizes.

Choose a folder for memory and .CSV files...  Displays a folder browse dialog to permit choosing which folder to use for storing memory and .CSV files.

Do not confirm before deleting memories  If ticked will not ask 'are your sure..' questions when deleting/removing memories

  Window position and Column Widths

Save size and position   Save the size and position of the main window.

Force windows onto the primary desktop   Forces all windows to appear on the desktop. If you have multiple monitors then the windows will appear on the screen that has co-ordinates 0,0 at the top left. This enables you to re-position windows that may have disappeared if the desktop configuration has changed. The keyboard shortcut for this command is Shift+Ctrl+F1
