You can switch between VFO A and B by clicking the VFO A/B button. You must already have the rig in VFO mode, not in Memory or Mtune mode.

This works for the VR-5000, but because VFO B must be within 20MHz of VFO A you can get unexpected frequency changes on the rig if you choose to use VFO B tuning. My own preference is to do all of the tuning using VFO A (even though VFO B must be active in order to get the S-meter to talk to the PC!). The VR-5000 is a strange rig…
