FTBVR5K is a memory management program for UK and US versions of the Yaesu VR-5000 receiver. It is part of FTBasic, a CAT control and memory management program for other Yaesu transceivers. The memory management aspects of the VR-5000 have been developed as a separate program to FTBasic.

Version 1 provides a backup/restore of the cloneable memory in the Yaesu VR-5000 receiver. It is useful in the event of a reset of the VR-5000 being required to recover from a hang-up.

Version 1 can not restore backup files taken with Version 2.0.6 and later. Version 2.0.6 and later can restore backup files taken with any version of FTBVR5K.
